House on the city outskirts is surrounded by idyllic landscape within the newly established suburban neighbourhood. Designed for a five-member family who wants to live in a spacious, comfortable and modern home. The site itself is elevated from the street level which made it appropriate to create a basement area in a way to make the garage accessible from the street level. This layout of the otherwise three storey house, doesn't impose its surroundings with its size while at the same time providing more square footage necessary for the living space inside the building. The highlight od the ground floor is a spacious and naturally lit central living area. Around the central stairs to the upper gallery a living room, kitchen and dining room are arranged, which through large glass surfaces connect to the outside covered terrace and thereby achieve a more spacious and pleasant atmosphere. On the top floor a sleeping area is arranged. The gallery divides children and parents for the much needed intimacy. Simple and clean lines of the house and the monochrome colour cladding balances out the dynamic and diversified floor plans and sections result into an elegant modern architectural design.
