Our proposal repeats the shape of the natural landscape and manifests itself as subtle and modest interventions into the existing terrain - at the same time it was required to create a modern, high quality tourist infrastructure that includes also paths of meditation, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, horseback riding, farm tourism and the like. The new hotel would be developed in place of the existing residential building by the village main road. Entrance hall begins at the street level and continues to the reception area and the new restaurant with its accompanying program. Hotel rooms are located in the upper level, while the wellness center is located underneath the street leveled ground floor. Outside terrace of the wellness area with its relaxation and meditation purposes slowly intervenes with the surrounding natural ambient of the river Kolpa’s coast. Two proposals were developed: In the first proposal the bungalows are engraved into the terrain with grass covered roofs and views directed towards the river with which they accomplish the desired intimacy and detachment. This type of bungalows are intended for more luxury seeking guests. In the second proposal the bungalows are located in two rows among the trees. They are designed as solitary wooden boxes and offer spectacular views of the upper reaches of the river. The second row overviews the first row bungalows and still provide views to the river. Materials that are used are natural and inconspicuous (wood, stone, glass) in these non urban surroundings to balance out the difference in size of the hotel building and its needed leisure program with the existing residential neighborhood houses. Hotel and bungalows would be connected with paved paths and viewing platforms, intended only for pedestrians. Borders of the treated site are planted with high trees as to secure the natural biodiversity and the intimacy of the hotel guests.
