Neighborhood Novo Trnovo is a settlement of modern residential houses-twins in the natural, quiet environment of the city. We designed a settlement of 30 exclusive houses, actually 15 twins with a park arrangement between. In this area, it was necessary to preserve the existing trees and the surrounding area as much as possible.

The driveway is arranged from the street, which diversifies into individual access roads to individual facilities, where parking is possible for two vehicles. When designing the houses, it was necessary to provide attractive views and sufficient distance between the houses. Also, it was necessary to avoid mutual shading and to predict an appropriate level of privacy.

The buildings are closed on the ground floor towards the road, they open up to the inner atrium, which increases the extra comfort. With a flexible facade we create separate accesses, which offers a higher level of individuality. Also, the large distance between the open facades (more than 10m) ensures intimacy and pleasant use of the exterior surfaces.

On the first floor, the house opens towards the landscape and with a big glass surfaces we provide bright and pleasant spaces. A rich selection of materials also establishes a dialogue with the natural landscape. The terraced floors offer a pleasant ambience, as they are facing to the surrounding hills and offer a viewpoint to the Ljubljana Castle.
Two types of residential buildings are planned – type A and B. In type A, on the ground floor there is a kitchen with a dining room and a bedroom with a bathroom, on the first floor, there is a living room. In type B, there is a kitchen with dining room and living room on the ground floor, sleeping areas are on the first floor. These two types of architectural design differ in the layout, and not in the size. In spite of differences, the houses are shaped by a harmonized characteristic gesture that merges them into an urban whole.
